The think tank of the CEC / CET which is designed to follow the evolution of the European issues based on proposals of the European Commission in the social and economic spheres invites you to participate in an study afternoon on 'Training and socio-professional integration of low-skilled young people and adults' on 8 October 2015, from 2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. in the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) in Brussels.

The Comité Européen de Coordination (CEC) European network gathering actors of training and social integration has written a guide of good practices on this topic. This guide has been funded under the program Erasmus + of the European Commission and brings together 21 best practices of field experiences of CEC members.

These practices have been created and implemented in 12 European countries: Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Spain, France, Greece, Italy,  Poland, Romania, United Kingdom and Slovakia. These countries present a variety both geographically as economic and political situation and of education and training systems provided.

The richness of these local experiences and the diversity of their approaches allow us to highlight elements that might be put forward by public policies.

It is in this sense that CEC has written 9 proposals of political recommendations destined to the representatives of the European institutions (Commission, Parliament, EESC and Committee of the Regions), national and regional public authorities in charge of education, training and employment of regions concerned by this guide, as well as civil society representatives.

Members of the think tank CEC / CET are Belgian representatives of civil society, trade unions, Honorary officials of the Ministry of employment, mutual societies as well as representatives of the European Commission. They would like that, on the one hand, you give your opinion on the guide and that, on the other hand, you submit your initiatives and thoughts on training and socio-professional integration of low skilled public.

Attached you will find the programme for this study afternoon.
